Oakhurst Travel Journal is an independent editorial journal describing hotels and venues with casino facilities in Wales and the West, alongside the places that surround them. This journal owns no casino, sells no itineraries and takes no money from readers. The notes below concern the personal information we receive.
A message sent through the enquiry or contact form brings with it a name, an e-mail address, the dates a reader has in mind, the size of the party and any accompanying notes. Server logs and analytics quietly gather technical material of their own: IP address, browser type and pages visited.
The information a reader submits is used to write a reply and to send the planning material that was asked for, and for nothing besides. Technical data has its own quiet uses: keeping the site secure and showing where the journal might be improved. Personal information is never offered for sale.
Essential cookies may be placed on a reader’s device, and analytics cookies operated by third parties may be placed too. Both can be declined or removed through browser settings at any point in a visit. The journal reads perfectly well without them; no article is withheld from anyone who declines.
A form submission is retained no longer than the enquiry requires and is then cleared from our records. Readers remain free to ask what personal data exists about them, to have it put right where it is mistaken, and to have it destroyed. The address for such requests is [email protected].
This journal is written for readers who are 18 or older. Personal details are not knowingly accepted from minors, and nothing set down here is meant to reach them. Should such details arrive, they are erased instead of being stored or acted upon.
